Books4U began as a school project and has turned into so much more.
About
In September of 2016, four Innovative Entrepreneur students came together for an IDEO Design Challenge to fix a problem in Bloomington-Normal. After much brainstorming, we determined that, as a college town, there was very little done to address the impact of the cost of books on college students. Therefore, we decided that a service providing an alternative to extremely expensive textbooks and online rental options would do nothing but benefit BloNo.
Due to the fact that, as 17 year olds in a high school class, we did not have the means to collect text books and distribute at that time. As a pivot, we decided to turn into a volunteer-based service to help more people than previously, and the new Books4U was born.
